Using energy is a fact of life! From boiling water to making a trip to our local supermarket. Through the SOURCE project we have been exploring the uses and effects of energy production in our everyday lives through a number of activities and visits within the Northumberland National Park, local urban communities and even as far away as Wales. Through these visits the young people have been involved in producing educational materials to inform others about our relationship with energy and what practical measures we can take to help reduce our impact on the environment.
Two seperate displays to inform others about our relationship with energy have been produced and displayed to youth groups and members of the public alike. The main display, designed and constructed by students from Excelsior Academy, demostrated the practical measures people can take to minimise the negative effects on the environment using a 3D enviro-room.
